Resources for these Uncertain Times
I wanted to put together some resources specifically for addicts, alcoholics and those who might be struggling with addictions. Even though I am nearing 16 years of continuous sobriety, my mind wanders. Last week I made too many jokes about going on a "heroin run" and talking about some of my end-of-world scenarios in which I would get high/drunk and do loads of inappropriate or illegal stuff.
Doesn't everyone have these scenarios planned? Apparently not. Just to let you know, I am not bored, I have plenty of things I am working on both creatively and work and life stuff and I am mostly peaceful...but my mind still travels to dark places. It is part of who I am. So, to remedy my the dark side, I have tried some online meetings and for me, it has helped me anchor in and remember I have this disease that messes with my brain. I am sharing the info I have come across regarding meetings. Also, here are some pictures of Billie and over the years, first one is five years ago and the second is current.
